Seth Mabus
Owner/CEO
Seth was Born and raised outside of Tupelo, Mississippi, Seth developed his knowledge of farms and construction at an early age growing up surrounded by horses, hayfields, and construction projects. His childhood was spent on the back of a horse, in a hayfield, filling a barn with hay, or learning construction from his father. Seth joined the Army to see the world, leaving the farm and construction as happy memories of childhood.
Seth enjoyed a successful 28-year career on active duty with the Army, with most of his active-duty time spent in the United States Army Special Operations Command at Fort Bragg, NC. While on active duty, Seth served in every enlisted leadership position before retiring as a Group Command Sergeant Major in 2018. During his career in the Army, he traveled to more than 60 countries with multiple combat tours in Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
After getting married and settling down in North Carolina he opened his first minor construction company while still on active duty and focused on rehabbing previously foreclosed properties. During his time in service, he remodeled and sold dozens of properties and built several new homes. In 2016, Seth and the family came full circle and purchased their own farm just outside of Vass, NC.
Their farm, True North Farm, started as two crop fields, and 40 acres of creek, and has grown to over 150 acres of beautiful rolling horse and cow pastures, managed hay fields, a community garden, a sport horse barn, and possibly his wife’s favorite; the lighted dressage and jumping arena.
This process helped form the educated and detailed approach that Seth brings to clients today. He knows farm planning, equestrian facility planning, livestock care and considerations, fencing options, crop and timber considerations, land clearing options, conservation requirements and considerations, and much more.
Seth built a detailed team of like-minded and trustworthy managers, foremen, and construction team members; many of whom are former clients themselves. Seth is a member of the Moore County Home Builders Association, currently serving as their Vice President and on the Board of Directors.
Seth and his wife, Amber along with their two teenage sons, Noah and Caleb reside on their working farm outside Vass, NC where they raise Angus and Scottish Highland cattle, and chickens and they keep several competition horses along with several retired and rescue horses. Their nearest neighbors are Seth’s oldest son Corey, his wife Alannah, and their daughter Amelia. The families are also actively involved in the equestrian community, with three eventers in the family.
