Scott Rubick

Project Manager

Born in Long Beach California, Scott spent most of his formative years in San Diego, surfing and playing sports.  He grew up in a blue-collar family and learned the value of hard work, and it has served him well. After high school he spent several years in underground construction, installing sewer, water, and storm drain infrastructure for large housing developments, and worked his way from general labor to operating large equipment and ultimately Foreman in charge of all on-site operations.

Scott felt a strong urge and a higher purpose for himself and for his family in the early 1990s and joined the Military effort during and after Operation DESERT STORM.  He had the extreme privilege of serving 28 years on active duty in the United States Army.  He spent most of his Army career at Fort Bragg and in the United States Army Special Operations Command.  He was a leader at every enlisted level, served as an advisor to five sitting US Ambassadors in 5 different Latin American countries, had multiple combat tours, and retired as a Sergeant Major in 2019.

As one of the company’s first employees, Scott is proud of having helped build Mabus Farm and General Contracting into the organization that it is currently.  He enjoys being part of the process of raising a custom home from a raw piece of land and handing it over to customers who, in most cases plan to spend the rest of their lives living in it.

Scott is married to his wife Dana of 34 years.  Dana is an extremely accomplished Yoga Instructor who enjoys helping her clients achieve their physical and cerebral goals.  Scott and Dana have two grown daughters Meagan, who is also in the construction business in Charlotte, and Madisan, an 8th-grade school teacher.  They also have a beautiful granddaughter, Meyers.
